Porsche AG, can be a German automobile manufacturer dedicated to high-performance sports cars, SUVs and sedans. Porsche AG is headquartered in Stuttgart, and is also owned by Volkswagen AG, that is itself majority-belonging to Porsche Automobil Holding SE. Porsche's current lineup includes the 718 Boxster/Cayman, 911, Panamera, Macan and Cayenne.Porsche's logo design was based on the coat of arms from the Free People's State of Württemberg of former Weimar Germany, that had Stuttgart as the capital. (The same arms were utilised by Württemberg-Hohenzollern from 1945-1952, while Stuttgart throughout these years was the main city of adjacent Württemberg-Baden.) The arms of Stuttgart was used in the middle just as one inescutcheon, because the cars were manufactured in Stuttgart. The heraldic symbols were combined with texts "Porsche" and "Stuttgart", which implies that it is not a coat of arms since heraldic achievements never explain the name from the armiger nor the armigers neighborhood in the shield.Württemberg-Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern became part in the present land of Baden-Württemberg in 1952 following the political consolidation of West Germany in 1949, and also the old design with the arms of Württemberg now only lives on within the Porsche logo. On 30 January 1951, soon before the development of Baden-Württemberg, Ferdinand Porsche died from complications after having a stroke.
